Physical performance is a multifaceted indicator of health. By assessing your physical performance we can understand your current fitness. By understanding your current fitness first, we can then improve your health more efficiently.

Although personal goals may vary, each have a similar path. By focusing on improving your fitness you will see weight loss, increased energy, and improved health as a positive byproduct.

THE LEVELS

Each level represents an improvement in the 10 domains of fitness.

Movement requirements are based on a key tenet of CrossFit that states progression should be applied through mechanics, consistency, and intensity.

Our needs vary by intensity, not kind. No matter where you are in your fitness journey, we have a path to get you to your health goals and beyond.

Physical Skills
As first outlined in the “What Is Fitness?” article from 2002, CrossFit recognizes 10 general physical skills.

You are as fit as you are competent in each of these 10 skills, and a regimen develops fitness to the extent that it improves each of these 10 skills.

The ability of the body’s systems to gather, process, and deliver oxygen

The ability of body systems to process, deliver, store, and utilize energy

The ability of a muscular unit, or combination of muscular units, to apply force

The ability to maximize the range of motion at a given joint

The ability of a muscular unit, or combination of muscular units, to apply maximum force in minimum time

The ability to minimize the cycle time of a repeated movement

The ability to combine several distinct movement patterns into a singular distinct movement

The ability to minimize transition time from one movement pattern to another

The ability to control the placement of the body’s center of gravity in relation to its support base

The ability to control movement in a given direction or at a given intensity
